This started off as a pretty uneventful weekend for us. I was really tired and slept quite a bit Saturday afternoon. We did watch Nebraska win though! :) But then, Sunday we went with Jeremy to the Music and Molasses festival at the Agriculture Center near our house. It was actually a lot of fun! We have a lot of different festivals (Mule Day, All about Goats, Renaissance, Greek, Hot Chicken etc.) and you never quite know what you are going to get at each one but I was rather impressed by this one! EXCEPT... we didn't find any molasses. We did see a sheep herding demonstration with border collies (really, really cute!), I got to play a lap dulcimer, Adam had a turkey leg, Jeremy had roasted corn and I had a homemade root beer float, we watched a little old lady making some fabric, saw cotton plants and watched the cloggers who seem to make an appearance at all the Tennessee festivals. I really think someday I'd like to have some kind of item that I take around and sell at all the events... not sure what it is yet though. Last night we went to Michael's and he and Greta made dinner for us and Jen and Chad and then wehad Dippin Dots for dessert. So, Saturday was a pretty lazy day but we made up for it yesterday! We have softball tonight so should have more to report tomorrow! Enjoy the pics from the festival.
